Actinomycosic mycetoma: Nocardia asteroides - detail of a grain (HES)

Subcutaneous tissue. Abscess within an actinomycetic grain corresponding to a dense hyphal matt associated to a particular host reaction : the cement. In N. asteroides there are small grains and no cement.
