Histoplasma sp. - culture on Brain Heart infusion Agar medium at 37°C

On glucose blood agar medium (or brain heart infusion agar) at 37°C the yeast form is obtained (dimorphic fungi). This form is less dangerous to handle than the filamentous form of Histoplasma sp., responsible for histoplasmosis.
