Lung: invasive aspergillosis - CT scanning

The thoracic CT scan shows the radiologic anomalies and the evolutionary stage of the disease. The sign of the air crescent into the cavitation easily seen here (lower picture) can occur at the relapse of aplasia. The main species responsible for invasive aspergillosis is A. fumigatus.
