Aspergillus nidulans - microscopic examination

The aged cultures of A. nidulans produce cleistothecia containing asci and ascospores, associated with Hülle cells. The dark red clearly seen, unicellular ascospores, measure from 3 to 4,5 µm and present 2 equatorial ridges. This species can be responsible for aspergillosis.
