Aspergillus niger - culture on Sabouraud agar medium

On Sabouraud agar medium (without cycloheximide), the colony of A. niger is powdery to granular consisting of a felt of conidiophores. The surface pigmentation is black, colorless to yellowish pale from the reverse. This species can be responsible for aspergillosis.
