Aspergillus fumigatus - microscopic examination

The conidial heads of Aspergillus fumigatus (the main species responsible for aspergillosis) are columnar. The gathered phialides are uniseriate and covering the 3/4 upper vesicle. The spores are small: from 2,5 to 3 µm in diameter.
