Trichophyton mentagrophytes - microscopic examination

Filaments with right angle ramifications, numerous large clusters of globose microconidia with sometimes microconidial branches disposed into an acladium. Five to 6-celled macroconidia from 10 to 20 µm long to 6 to 8 µm wide. These macroconidia are club-shaped with smooth thin walls.
