Candida albicans - culture on RAT medium

Cultured on nutritionally deficient media RAT (Rice Agar Tween). Candida albicans, responsible for candidiasis, produces chlamydospores after 48 hours of incubation (large thick-walled vesicles) at the end of the pseudohyphae.
