Liver candidiasis - CT scanning

In 50% of cases of disseminated candidiasis, other organs than the liver are involved. Febrile hepatosplenomegaly and abdominal pain are associated. On CT-Scan, round areas of necrotic tissue corresponding to fungal abscesses due to Candida can easily be seen.
