Diaper rash of the neonate

Superficial candidiasis. Extensive lesions have started around the perianal skin, spread to the inguinal folds and the buttocks due to a maceration factor. The skin presents an erythematous rash, waxy and oozing. Sampling, at the fold level, will allow the identification of the causative Candida species.
