Intertrigo: perianal candidiasis

Superficial candidiasis. The edge of a fissured skinfold presents an erythematous rash, waxy, and oozing. Occasional pustules and papules can also be observed. This lesion is often involved with a gastrointestinal candidiasis. Mycological identification of the Candida species will be obtained by culture.
