Intertrigo: perianal candidiasis

Superficial candidiasis. The fissured perianal skinfold shows erythema with a white coating.This lesion is often involved with gastrointestinal candidiasis. Scraping with a swab is necessary to confirm the diagnosis of candidiasis and identification of the Candida species.
